Download Facebook Reels

The short vertical videos, in their original quality, ready to keep or send to someone.

Reels are the short, vertical videos that play one after another in their own section of Facebook. They're made for phones: full screen, with music, captions and quick cuts. That's exactly why so many people want to keep a funny or useful Reel to drop in the family chat or watch again without hunting for it in the feed.

ClipsKeep downloads public Reels in their vertical format and at the best resolution available. You get an MP4 file that opens on any phone, computer or TV, with the sound already included.

How to download Facebook Reels

  1. Open the Reel in the Facebook app and tap the share icon, the curved arrow on the right side of the screen.
  2. Tap Copy link. The address usually contains /reel/ followed by a number, or starts with fb.watch.
  3. Come back to this page and tap Paste. The site finds the video and shows the qualities available.
  4. Choose HD video for the sharpest picture, or SD video if you're sending it in a chat and want a light file.
  5. On your phone, use the Send or save button to open the share menu: from there you can send it on WhatsApp or save it straight to the iPhone's Photos app.

If the copied link comes inside some text, like "look at this video https://...", paste the whole thing: the site picks out the address by itself.

Tips for keeping Reels

Common problems with Reels

The link doesn't work. Some apps copy a shortened link that expires, or the profile's address instead of the Reel's. Open the Reel in full screen before copying. The guide on copying a video link shows where to tap on each device.

The Reel has music but arrived silent. Sometimes Facebook stores the audio separately from the picture. The highest quality option already handles this, since the server joins both parts. If the sound is still missing, see the guide on videos with no sound.

The video belongs to a private account. Reels from profiles with a restricted audience can't be reached without logging in, so the "private video" message is expected. The guide on private videos explains why.

I can't find the file after downloading. On Android, check the Downloads folder; on iPhone, the Files app. The Android and iPhone guides show the way to your gallery.

Questions about Reels

Does the downloaded Reel stay vertical, like in the app?

Yes. The file keeps its original proportions, usually 9:16. On a phone it fills the screen; on a computer or TV it shows black bars on the sides, as every video shot upright does.

Can I download a Reel without a watermark?

The file Facebook serves for Reels usually has no watermark, so the downloaded video is the same one you watch in the app. The site doesn't add or remove anything.

Can I download Instagram Reels here?

No. ClipsKeep only works with Facebook links, which start with facebook.com or fb.watch. Instagram Reels shared to Facebook work when the post is public on Facebook itself.

Which quality should I pick for WhatsApp?

For chats, SD is usually enough and arrives fast. If the Reel has small text on screen or you want to keep it, choose HD. When the file goes over WhatsApp's limit, see the guide on videos that are too big.
